Both ads are for the same product category (condoms) both have the same art direction and portraying animals!!!

Also check out the same idea as a TVC by following this link http://www.creativereview.co.uk/crblog/durex-balloon-animals/

I do agree that both ads have different messages and target audience however they both have the same art direction.Putting that aside – The art direction for WWF is more relevant and has better visual association (featuring a hand painted as a zebra visually portraits the concept of humans lending a hand to preserve the animal kingdom). The watch ad visually communicates “standing out”. The WWF campaign was later copied by several agencies around the world for a Varity of products and services.

The above examples are also featured in a book titled “Nouveau?” by Joe La Pompe. Pages: 198 – 199 ISBN: 978-2-7533-0069-9.

Notice that the Al Itihad logo is and exact copy/past to the finest detail from the original logo!!!

A logo (Greek λογότυπος = logotypos) is a graphical element, (ideogram, symbol, emblem, icon, sign) that, together with its logotype (a uniquely set and arranged typeface) form a trademark or commercial brand. Typically, a logo’s design is for immediate recognition, inspiring trust, admiration, loyalty and an implied superiority.[1] The logo is one aspect of a company’s commercial brand, or economic entity, and its shapes, colors, fonts, and images usually are different from others in a similar market. Logos are also used to identify organizations and other non-commercial entities.

Although both ads communicate through the use of origami as the main visual; however each ad is communicating a different message to a different target audience for a different benefit. Whiskas is communicating the “flavors” of their range of cat food products; while the All Bran is communicating the consumer benefit of fast “digestion”. In the following example below they are communicating “wrinkles”
