International creative trainer Ralf Langwost, the founder of IdeaManagement, died in his sleep of an apparent heart attack on Sunday night. Although based in Germany, Ralf was well known globally, being a regular speaker and delegate at the major international festivals including Cannes, Asia Spikes and AdFest. Ralf was just 48 years old. Paragon Marketing Communications and the IAA Kuwait Chapter thoughts are with his family, friends and co-workers at IdeaManagement.

Well i don’t know what to say next to rest in peace, i don’t know him very well but i do know that he is the best in his field, just had the chance to meet him once in Kuwait with the help of the owner of this website, Mr.Louai. Believe me people, we do have problems in reaching solutions for our advertising problems, and that guy have really great methods on reaching solutions in NO TIME. Dam it was only 4 hours meeting but really as we say in our country ” أربع ساعات من العمر “, REST IN PEACE MR.RALF LANGWOST.
its so sad the creative world has missed a Gem. I met Ralf in Nigeria for the first
time and boy, he impressed me a lot. He had a soul as well and i was sad to hear of
his death.
Rest in peace Ralf
Lost for words! Ralf? Passed? Unbelievable! I mean I am really shocked. I just had an email from a colleague pursuing a PhD in Advertising Linguistics in London. She was informing me about the newly-introduced Cannes Creative Leadership programme for 2010. I was replying to tell her that some of the Creative Leaders that might speak at the programme might be Ralf. I googled Ralf to check the correct spelling of Langwost and behold there was the news of his passing. So you may imagine how utterly shocked I am currently.
I met Ralf at Dubai Lynx Advertising Festival in 2008 where he presented a splendid paper on “How Great Ideas Work Even Harder – The Secrets of Creative Effectiveness.” I was so impressed by his ideas and theory that I planned bringing him down to Ghana to train my creative team at AdSpace DDB Ghana. We became very good friends at Dubai and had lots of chat. After Dubai, we wrote often to each other.
Stumbling upon this news of his demise is indeed devastating to me.
As we say in Ghana: “Da Yei, Ralf! Sleep Well, Ralf!” May God of creation and creativity keep you.
Lets make sure that we spread the knowledge we gained from him to as many people as possible.
