Hiii Brand removes shameless copy cat logo from their competition

In every design and creative competition, talentless individuals copy the work of others and try to scam their way into winning and depriving true creativity from shining, which is sad but what is worse is the fact that some award organizers even when they are alerted to such incidents do not do anything about it!!! this is not the case with Hiiibrand.  After i brought to the attention of Hiiibrand (with facts) that one of the entries into their international logo design competition is a shameless copy cat, they responded promptly by disqualifying and removing the copy cat logo from the competitions as well as addressing this matter to the culprit. Thank you Hiiibrand for your cooperation, swift action and integrity.

Why Facebook Is Hiring Ad Agency Creatives

And How It Wants You to Think About the ROI of a Fan

By:  Published: March 27, 2012

Just in case you were wondering, Facebook is not trying to build an ad agency, despite recent hiring of some of the industry’s creatives.

“Is Facebook building an agency internally, hiring a handful of creative people, starting something that becomes competitive with us?” JWT North America CEO David Eastman asked Facebook VP-Global Marketing Solutions Carolyn Everson on stage at the 4As Transformation Conference in Beverly Hills today.

“You’re thinking of Mark D’Arcy, who is my chief creative partner at Facebook, who we hired a little less than a year ago,” Ms. Everson said. “Mark has hired a handful of people around the world so we can have a conversation with the Jeff Benjamins of the world and chief creative officers.” (Jeff Benjamin being the digital creative JWT recently hired away from CP&B to be chief creative officer of JWT North America and New York.)

“Creatives like talking to creatives,” Ms. Everson said. “We need enough people at Facebook who can sit across the table from a creative leader and engage in a conversation about what the possibilities are.”

dubai lynx 2012 episode Three – Terminator judgment day – Impact BBDO UAE

Published in February 2012, hmmmm how convinient :)
I have a confession to make, over the past 21 years in the industry I have had a reoccurring dream, I dreamed that one of these days i will have one of these clients that do not want to have their logo made bigger on their ad or not having a logo at all (just like this example) where this dream client was satisfied with part of his product can appearing on his campaign with part of his logo being visible.
NB. The 3D work is really nice and the idea is not bad at all, too bad the suites could not sell it to the client (if they had such a client that is).
When I shared this dream with the orginzers of the 2012 Dubai Lynx they were kind enough to take action by pulling the curtain on those who tried to pull the wool over our eyes ;) I guess “Justice will be served” is an appropirate title for this campaign after all LOL ;)
